So this is our first episode that I'm recording on my Surface Pro. Wow, that's really high tech. I mean, it was, it was kind of like working with like the, the, the iPhone one, so, okay. I really think that you should be careful given that, um, we've had and geriatric when it comes to technology mul multiple technology snafus as a result of your oversight. Oh my God. Okay, let's move along. So, yes, I did go on a second date last night. Um, uh, you know what, what night of the week was that? That's a Monday. A Monday because his father is flying in. Um. This weekend, Uhhuh. And so does he call him his father? Like guys that call their dad their father? Like there's a complex there. No, I'm say not said that. No. But like there's a complex Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Um, and I, it sounds like he's gonna be here for like a while and so he wanted to see me before he came in. So where is he? Is he Beverly Hills. Oh yeah. So we went to dinner over there. So he called me an Uber Black. And you know, he offered and I was like, I'm going to accept, like there was a second when I should be like, no, I can just get myself there. And then I was like, no, thank you. That would be lovely. Like if you offer Yeah. Right. Like totally how much then I need to practice what I preach, you know? Wait, how much do you think that, like, is that an expensive Uber? Wait, let's actually see, like, I feel like that's a $50 Uber. Yeah. Here to Piccolo Paradiso. 49, 99. Good job, Spencer. Right on the money. I know my LA geography. Um, yeah. So dinner was good. Yeah. So it was a good dinner. It was. He's a very funny guy. It would just, it is surprising because he seems very serious, but then he makes me laugh. Like he, we were talking about 90 day fiance and then he was like, have you ever seen married at First Sight? I was like, yeah, of course. And he was like, I mean, and the thing with that one is just that like the matchmakers need to be in jail and just said it was such a straight face. No, but I like serious men. Yes. No, like, that's what I'm saying. So it's like he's kind of, he's serious, but he also is making me laugh, so, okay. Okay. Um, but I don't think I'm gonna put this in the podcast 'cause I do feel like I jinx so much. No, Megan, this is good. It's fine.
Audio Only - All ParticipantsThe only other cultural event I wanted to touch on is I thought the Olympics running out of condoms was, wait, this year they ran out this year. See that's incredible. Like I would say that it was a particularly attractive Yep. Male olympian. A hundred percent. Like wow. When I was looking at those skiers. Mm-hmm. I just followed this snowboarder on Instagram last night, like as if he hasn't gotten 1 million followers in the past month. I'm like, maybe he'll see me come through. Um, yeah. Wow. They ran out like really good looking guys and I'm just like, I think we're gonna be okay you guys. I'm saying 2026 is the year of like, condoms running out at the Olympics, the year of house parties. Like, yes. I'm hoping that that's kind of a signal of like the energy that everyone is bringing in. Yes, I agree. And I like, I like the fact that like one of the snowboarders or skiers or something like that, Jake, whatever. Mm-hmm. He was asked like in an interview, like, who would you shoot your shot with? And he was like. Kendall Jen, or like, Hey Kendall, if you're watching this right now, like, I think you're really cute. And I love that he called her cute. It's like, okay, we'll be the one supermodel in the world. And he was like, Hey, if you see this, like we should like go out sometime. And it was like, oh, that's amazing. Okay. A little predictable. But at the same time it's like good for him for just being like, let me break the third wall. Absolutely. And let's like, let's level set everyone a little bit. Right, right. Okay. Yes. I love this. It's shoot your shot era. Shoot your shot year, I think. Wow. 2026. Okay, great. How was your Valentine's Day? Brooks, got me this beautiful b bouquet of flowers and wrote me a really nice card. Wow. And then we went to this restaurant, this Michelin star on the water on the west side called Perry Street. Amazing. Um, and it was really a lovely dinner. So we had a great, great Valentine's Day. Did you have any sort of Valentines. I don't really do that. Yeah. Um, I mean, I went out with my friends, but like I, you didn't name it Gallant type. I didn't that, I didn't mean it in a cheeky way. I just meant I don't like to be, I don't, I also, I don't wanna be mean about it anti Valenti. 'cause I'm like, if that's your vibe for sure. I don't like the word gal. And so just from that, purely like the way that it sounds, I don't like it, but it's like, yeah. Like we all went out, like including the couples. Yeah, and it was fun and I did have two people text me. Happy Valentine's Day. Were they, were they ex romantic partners No, so one is the guy that I've been on two dates with now. Oh, okay. That's nice of him. So his dad is in town and he was like, it was a bit presumptuous, but it was sweet. But he was like, happy Valentine's Day. Like I'm so sorry that we couldn't spend the day together. Okay. That's, there's nothing wrong with that. That's like I know. I was just like, oh, like I did it. You know? You're his Valentine, I guess. And then the other person is someone who's come back into my life, who's 27 now? Um, wait, which is this? Famously known for sending the text that says I'm not well, and then I say physically or mentally, right. And he says, I would say mentally and I say, okay. He texted me on Valentine's Day and was like, I can say with confidence, because you are the only woman that I've hung out with recently. You are my Valentine. Oh my god. Backed into a corner, you're like, no. Literally. I was like, I have not consented to this. He really is not good at texting. No, he's just, oh, he texts like, you know, gen Z, like, it's just like, right. It's different. But also like an abductor. Yeah. Yeah. It's a threat. It was a threat for sure. It was a threat. Okay. Are you ready to hear about Miami? Yeah, I'm so excited. Okay. Here's a cool, fun fact. Okay. It's the only major US city founded by a woman. Very cool. Wow. Julia Tuttle, a Cleveland businesswoman convinced railroad magnate Henry Flagler of UNC Travel Hill Fame. Oh my God. Um, to extend his railways south, literally creating Miami in 1896. Of course, a woman created Miami. Actually, this place makes so much sense. That's the thing. It's like we like to pretend like it's a man's playground, but a woman who is like, I'm gonna have some fun down here. Yeah, that's the OG batty right there. Incredible. Incredible. Um, okay. This one's totally obvious, but I think it just like deserves, its its flowers. It's the most bilingual and trilingual city in the us. Wow. Over 70% of its residents speak a language other than English at home. Primarily Spanish, but also Haitian Creole in many neighborhoods. English is also the second language. Cool. Like obviously, like it's incredibly cultural, but yeah. Um. Cool to hear. Unsurprising Miami once had so much drug cash that banks could not process it fast enough. In the late 1970s to eighties, cocaine money was being deposited in Miami banks faster than regulators could track federal agents Later, estimated billions in untraceable cash passed through the local economy permanently reshaping the city's growth. Wow. Billions in like years passed through because of cocaine Okay, next one. And this is actually, this is like a theme of us, like fucking around and pretending like we didn't, like men didn't have jobs in Miami. Hmm. Um. Here's actually a fun fact. Men do have jobs in Miami. 'cause Miami has the largest concentration of international banks in the US outside of New York City. Over 60 foreign banks have offices there, largely due to Miami's role as a financial gateway to Latin America. So throughout the episode you'll hear, I don't know, it's just like I haven't heard anything that like. Like, everything I learn about Miami makes me believe it's the perfect city. I know through the episode, guys, you'll hear us talk about how like, ha ha, like, do men have jobs? Miami. They just have jobs, but also free time. Like free time. I feel like I'm just starting to sound like a broken record every episode, so it's like I have to stop but like, I just love Miami. We really did have such a good time. No, we, we thrive in Miami Thrive. I think Miami, we thrive. I think Miami is exactly how Lauren puts it. It is. It is the multifaceted woman. It is the woman who cares about her health and her wellbeing and having a good time. And she's not. She's not looking for something in Miami. It just comes to her because she's open and because she's got the right perspective when it comes to life. That's so true. I completely agree. I think just like her attitude towards. Dating and on a larger scale. Yeah, just life is just like, she's going to be so intentional about things that matter, and she's also going to be so laissez-faire, like, let life come to me and I'm gonna embrace it about like, things that, not that don't matter. Mm-hmm. But she's got the right perspective. Yeah. It's like, it was, she has a very like good mix of knowing what she wants, but also like letting things happen and not like saying no to random opportunities, which I think is something that, we all try to find the balance in, but it's hard to do and it sounds like she's, she's living it. Yeah. I'm excited for you guys to hear.
Audio Only - All Participants-2Oh my God, I can't believe, I actually cannot believe this is happening. Everyone. Everyone please clap. Um, wait, wait. Lauren, what are you doing for the next week? Oh, um, I'm an event designer and I have events every single day. So is booked a So fun. Yeah, it's gonna be a little crazy. It's South Beach Wine and Food next week. So on top of like all of our social business, we've got a lot of like corporate business too. So. Wait, you're actually doing my dream job. There's a lot. Yeah. It sounds fun, but it's pretty crazy. Yeah. Yeah. It's like a little masochistic doing No. We also work jobs where like there's television shows about it being like sexy and like, right, yeah. People are hook up in offices and then it's really just working until three o'clock in the morning. Right. They're like, oh my God. Like I've seen the wedding planner, and I'm like, yeah, it doesn't work like that. No, no, no. There's like nothing sexy about my job. I'm like crawling on the floor and like picking up boxes and like sweating my ass off and like screaming at people like it. It's not cute. No. People love to romanticize jobs. Well, thank you so much for finally making the time. Sorry it took us like a thousand times. That's three busy women. I'm gonna tell you something, girls, good things come to those who wait, um, and honestly we were like, let's just start with this motorcycle story because we've been waiting on, oh my, let's jump in and then we'll kind of like backtrack a little bit, but just a little. So yeah, my pleasure. So I actually just saw him, which is so funny. So, um, I don't know if you guys know anything about our Basel in Miami, but the traffic is really, really severe. Um, and so on top of it being like my busiest work week, it's also like my busiest social week. So we're definitely like burning the candle from both ends, if you will. Anyway, one of my very good friends, um, got invited to this party. And she brought me as her plus one, and like as a token of her appreciation, I was like, I'm gonna come and pick you up. So I'm like driving down the street and there's a pedestrian bridge that connects Miami to Miami Beach. Mm-hmm. I live on the Miami side. She lives on the Miami Beach side, but it's very, very quick. So we're cruising. And then all of a sudden, like we come to a screeching halt, and I'm like, no, 'cause it's not a red light, it's green. So I'm like, okay, something bad is happening. So then the light turns red, then the light turns green, then the light turns red, then the light turns green. And I like text my friend and I'm like, oh my God, Dana, I'm so sorry. Like I'm stuck. So then I start to weigh my options because one thing about me, I'm very resourceful and I love like solving a problem. So I'm like, okay, well I'm in heels, so if I walk. It's gonna take me like half an hour and we don't have time for that because we need to like be at this event at a certain time to get in before it hits capacity. I see like people passing on, like, you know, the bird scooters and I'm like, okay, that's interesting. But like, where would I even get one? You know? And then the wheels are just turning. Turning rapidly. Okay. And then I see like my knight in shining armor drive past me in a, on a red, like it's not quite a motorcycle, but it's definitely not a Vespa. It's like if they like get a baby like that, like a motorbike I guess you could call it. Okay. Um. Blonde hair, and I literally like throw myself out of my Uber like, like I'm like a dog hanging out the window and I'm like, Hey. And I'm like, stop. And he turns around you. Like, this is just gut reaction. Like it's gut reaction. So he's like me. I'm like, yeah, you, I'm like, I'm getting on the back of your bike. And he's like, are you serious? And I'm like, yeah, a hundred percent. So I look at my driver, I was like, bye. And I literally get outta the car, I walk over to him, I throw my leg over the bike and I grab onto his waist and he's like, hi. Um, so my name's Chad. What's your name? I'm like, Lauren, so like, you're gonna take me to Miami Beach, right? He's like, uh, yeah, I guess so. I'm like, great. So then we like start driving up a little bit and we see that. Like they're, and I have a question for you, sorry to after story, but like during, like during this like trigger decision by you, was the calculus of like how attractive he was, like, did that No, I didn't care. I needed a ride. Faith was just a blur. No. Well, I needed a ride. Love it. Okay. I was a, I was a woman on a mission. I meant business. Mm-hmm. Yes, yes. Business. It was just a vehicle. It, yeah, that's it. He was my next Uber driver. That was it. So he like starts like driving up a little bit and we see that they're putting up active caution tape. And I'm like, ah, this does not look good. So we like drive up a little more and the cops are like, if you continue, you're going to jail. And I'm like, Chad, like I don't really wanna go to prison tonight. Like, we might need to turn around. So I call, I'm calling Dana. I'm like, Hey, like, so I'm on the back of someone's motorcycle. She's like, what the fuck? I'm like, I'll explain later, but um, I'm trying to figure this out and I'll let you know what's up in just a second. She's like, okay, you're insane. I'm like, yeah, I know. So after that he, he's like, okay, well, are you going to Nylon? I'm like, yeah. He's like, oh, me too. I'm like, great. So then I called, I called Dana back. I'm like, Hey. So Chad's actually going to the party. Yeah. Um, I know I said I'd pick you up, but you're already on the other side of the chaos and the crime scene. I'm gonna need you to meet me there and I'll be there as soon as I can. What are the odds that he's going to this scene? No, that's actually insane. It gets better. So Dana like calls her Uber and Chad's like, here's an AirPod. I put in the AirPod. He is like, you like soul? I'm done. That's my favorite. He over, he got over the weirdness very quickly. Yeah, please. I'm like, I'm like attached to him already. Where I'm like one with Chad. So he like puts his, um. Shout out Chad. And he's like, well, why have you like gimme your Instagram? I'm like, all right. So I put it in, can you even wait for the end of the ride? We have 20 mutual friends. He lives two blocks away from me. Oh, he's a year younger than me. And like we've like, we're so connected in our like Miami social scene. I'm like, okay. I actually like feel safe around Chad until I realized that we had to drive on the highway and he doesn't have a helmet. Mom, please don't listen to this. So thank God I had a hair tie. I'm like holding onto this man for dear life. We're like going over the bridge. My, like eyelashes came off my body. My like, stop mouth is like clapping in the wind. Like it was so bad. But by the time I got to this party, I looked like I went through a hurricane. No stop. I get off and I take a look in like his tiny little mirror and I'm like, oh my God. Like I belong in a mental institution. Thank God this party was sponsored by Elf, the makeup company. God. And they gave guys, they gave me a makeover. I have to text you the pictures. It was hysteric. I met up with my friends and they're like, bitch, you look busted. I'm like, yeah, I, I know I need to like, I need to get this together. But that's Chad. And then we actually had dinner the other night and like, love you. Like, he's great. Would you, do you wanna do another one with him or. Like Chad is just a one hit wonder nylon party. Like, I don't know. Well, if you're listening to this, Chad, like, I would see you again, but like let, I don't know. He's, he's a really funny guy. Um, oh my God. Yeah. That's so question. That's the best thing I've ever heard. And we're totally getting ahead of ourselves. But like, does the dating social scene in Miami constantly feel that small? Like you connected with him and you immediately had Oh God, yeah. And I'll tell you, the added layer of all of this fun is that I'm a nice Jewish girl, so my circle is even smaller. Yes. Right. I mean, I just think like when you're a certain age and you like to go to like specific places, like you kind of, my best friend Connie and I, we call it like our sim simulation, where you like start to see all of the same people over and over and over. Totally. So it's definitely got like a layer of that. So thank you so much. We just had to start with that. Yeah. Yeah. Happy to open the floor. Dive right in. So follow that. Just kind of give us the quick and dirty on your background, where you're from originally. How long you've been in Miami. Yeah. Age. Where you live in Miami specifically. Okay. Sounds good. So, um, I was born in Chicago. My whole family's from there. Amazing. Um, we moved to Austin, Texas when I was four years old for my dad's job and thought we would be there for like six months to a year and then never left. I went to school in Connecticut and moved to New York right after I graduated. Um, I was there for five and a half years and like everyone else did the great exodus to Miami. Yep. During COVID. During COVID. Yep. Yep. Four tale as old as time. I know, right? Four and a half years ago. And that's how I ended up here. And I live in Edgewater and I, I love it. Do you ever have any, like, any like, sadness about, like, do you look like nostalgically at the city or are you kind of like, had my years there? I'm gonna tell you something. I thought I was gonna be there for a lot longer than I was, but unfortunately, like my industry really suffered during COVID. Oh yeah. And Miami was booming, so I, I made it, I made a really smart career move, but it was, um, it wasn't easy. But I go back to New York, like I try and go back every like month, month and a half. Oh, and then to answer your question, I'm 31 years old and it was Scorpio. Perfect. Thank you so much. Incredibly important. You're welcome. Okay, so to put Peggy back on that tell us about your dating history and your current relationship status. I think we've deduced, I think you're single, but, um, what are you, like if you are, what are you really looking for right now? Yeah, so I am single and I'm looking for a full-time partner, husband, but I don't know if I love the word like looking for,. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I think when you look for things too hard, they don't really like find you 100%. So, um, I, I think I'm more open is really like the phrase I like to use. Yeah. I'm open to the long-term partnership and like finding my, my plus one forever. I've been single for like a solid five, but um, yeah, I think I can do, yeah, that's like exactly the same point half. Yeah. I think, um, you know, like that situation ended, it wasn't like the healthiest and I learned a lot. Um, from that you learn a lot about yourself and what you'll tolerate and put up with and where you are like mentally at that, you know, point in your life. Um, but I think, you know, moving here and being in a city, um, and with a new dating pool was definitely fun at first and then you kind of realize that like a lot of Miami is just fun. So yeah, I've found it to be harder to find, um, people who are on the more serious side. So I've actually, like the last few guys I've dated have lived in New York, believe it or not. So. Interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I found it to be easier to date in New York. People were a little more serious. Yeah. Um, I'm not like ruling out the dating scene here in Miami, but people always ask me like, would you date someone who doesn't live in your like, area code? And the answer is a hundred percent. Like you never know. Right. Yeah. I, I have this idea that like, there are a lot of serious women in Miami, but that like all women, men are there to party. Yeah. That's like, that's like my totally naive, like yeah. Like I have no basis third party opinion for that. Yeah. I think that there's definitely some great guys out there. They must be hiding, but um, yeah, it's, they're really good at hiding. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So talking about a Miami man breakdown for us, like are there different areas where you find a different type of guy? We like, have only been to South Beach so we have no concept of like, this will be an education for us Miami. Yes. Um, I would say like the majority of the single guys live in Miami Beach. Mm-hmm. Or Edgewater. Um. People kind of like start in Brickell and then graduate from Brickell and move up. Okay. So is Brickell like you just graduated from college vibes? Kind of. Okay. And it's unfortunate because it didn't use to be like that, but a lot of the, um, kids found Brickell because it's like not that far from the grove where, um, is so, or the gables. So it's um, it's like that one step up. Like when you move to the city and you live in Murray Hill, like it's kind of totally 100%. I was thinking the exact same. Yeah. And it really like became that way. Um. So I think a lot of people start in Brickell, but then once they hit like, I don't know, 27, 28, they move out. Um, so a lot of guys live in like downtown Edgewater, Miami Beach. Um, and then as you get even older and like start to settle down, that's when you move to like Bay Harbor Aventura. Some people move to like the Grove and the Gables, which are more quiet, like residential areas. Is there like a certain neighborhood where you would be like, oh, I want like a man that lives in? No, it's not really like New York that way. Okay. Like, I don't think that there's like much stigma around like, where you live. They're like specific buildings where like everyone kind of lives, I would say like the Reddest flag guys are the ones who still live in Brickell. Like even Right, because it's like, why? You're trying to hit up with 22 year olds. Like it's, it's like 22 year olds and like bbl L influencers and Yeah, it's like not the vibe, but then there, there definitely are some buildings too. Like in Edgewater for example, like there's a building where like all the like strippers from 11 live and like if I heard you live there, I'm like, no, thank you. Yeah. Hey, wait, that's incredible. I know. Or like there is, they're like, they're like, it's just a sorority house for us. Exactly. Like there's a building in South Beach where like literally everyone lives and I call it the frat house. And so it's kind of like, oh my God. Yeah, yeah. Like the are super nice, but you, when you hear someone lives there, you're like, of course you do. Like, yeah. Okay. So I think that that's kind of like the only stigma, but Uhhuh, I mean, Miami's fair game, like. Everywhere is beautiful. So we're really lucky that way. Yeah. Okay. So this is a total mass generalization. Okay. But like totally generalize what a Miami guy is then. Like when you think of quintessential guy who lives in Miami, what are you thinking? That they all have a wandering eye. I know that so bad, but I don't know, I just feel like they are always just kind of looking for like the next best thing. Yeah. Um, men in Miami will live until the ripe age of like 46 and then be like, I think I'm ready to marry a 22 old. And you're like, you're fucking an old dog. Like you look like a raisin respectfully. Like what is that? No, that's the thing. Like Miami, you go out to dinner and you see a bag of leather. Leather. Leather so bad to a next, to a fetus, the most beautiful girl you've ever seen. And you're like, and you're like, I really hope that's her dad. But I know. No, I know. You're like, but it never is. It never is. So, I mean, I wouldn't say like, the people that I hang out with per se are like, you know, in that like crowd. But I think that that definitely is like the quintessential Miami situation. And I think also just like post COVID, you know, these guys realize like, um, you know, like, I wanna like keep living my life. And like, I'm no, like, tomorrow's not guaranteed. And like, yeah. They still have the ability to be fertile, like older and like later in life. And so I joke with my friends that, like, once a man crosses over the, the age of 36, it's not 35, it's 36. And they're still single, they're doomed. I have a theory about it. I don't know what it is and I'm not. I'm still open, it's more just like they're gonna have a harder and longer time of like genuinely settling down. Like if they get to 36 and they're still single, they have a ways to go. Yeah, yeah. Totally. Hopefully they're pull that trigger. I, I always say like, at that point, I need you to be like divorced because it's like, why have you never decided to settle down? Like, as a man, it is not hard to find a woman that will fall in love with I know. And they're, they're out here still acting like they're 12 and it's like, sir, you, you have 30 minutes. Like, I, I don't understand. And so I think it's like, you know, for women as they age, there's a, a stigma behind like, oh, they're getting older and they're still single. Like, something must be wrong with them. Mm-hmm. For a man, they get older and they're still single. They're looked at as like the hot. Totally distinguished. Yeah, it's, um, it's really interesting. And so I think that that role has like a, a heavy play in this town for sure, because I find that, you know, the majority of the single guys are, are over the age of 35, 36. And what are you setting your, your ideal, like age parameters at, so I would date younger. I actually find that some of the younger guys are more mature. Funny that's said, we're a younger man's, really what Megan said. So, you know, I think from like a, where I'm at in my life to like genuinely like, have an emotional, you know, connection with somebody and like, I don't, I don't know what Gen Z's saying half the time. You know what I'm sayings true. Yeah. So like, I don't think I could like dip into like that, you know, that far down. Um, like we need to be from like the same culture core, basically. Yes, you took what I was going for. Um, so I think that's probably would be like 28. Um. And then up until, I don't know, I guess 42, but if my soul mate's 43, like I can't, you know, or my soul mate's 27, like, I can't do anything about it. Yeah. So I think a lot of people set these like very strict rules for themselves. Yeah. Mm-hmm. That's not to say I don't have boundaries or parameters and like just, you know, with dating experience, you know, what you like and what you don't. Um, but I do think that like age is kind of a, a number to some degree. Is there, what are like the main professions of men in Miami? I don't know, like really what industries are in Miami other than like realizing Yeah, me, me either. Because I feel like, um, everyone, like pretends like they have a job and then they kind of just don't. No. I like the amount of, like people I see who are like businessmen in May. I mean, I'm like, yeah, I, I don't, what's the business? Yeah, what's the business? I, I think, um, again, with like the Miami reputation, like that, like no one works, but like everyone has a job. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Um, so, but I would say like the majority of my friends are, yeah, commercial real estate is definitely a big one. Um, like consulting, finance, um, we, I have like a few friends who are lawyers. I have a few friends who are doctors, so they're all like pretty legit people. Yeah. Um, but like, I would always joke, even growing up when your dad tries to explain to you what he does, like I never really fully like, understand a man's job. Like Yeah. It just goes in one ear and out the other. I also don't care. It's like, I don't actually care what you know, but it's not even just with a man. It's with my friends too. And, and like you're, it's like a thing where like you don't actually ever really know what your friends do for a living. Like I, I genuinely like, couldn't tell you. I think it's a sign of a good friendship by the way, with girls. Like if you're right, you don't dunno because you're obviously talking about things that are like way more important. Thank you. Um, okay, so I think this is like getting back into what we have been talking about, um, about Miami kind of being its own beast with aesthetics and Yep. What is a Miami woman like? Um, and what makes a Miami girl totally unique to Miami? Like why would she want to live in Miami instead of anywhere else? I think that people have a really strong focus on like health and wellness and just like a general mental wellbeing when you choose to live in a place like this. I mean, this is at least just for my friend group. Mm-hmm. And like who I surround myself with. People are so active here. It's honestly refreshing. Like they're part of beach volleyball clubs. They do like the hot girl walks, they're always in Pilates, exercise classes. Like people are always outside. Um, sometimes when I'm working from home, like I look out at the water and people are on jet skis and I'm like, what the fuck are you doing? But also like, respect, you know? Totally. Yeah. I love it. It's like Tuesday at 3:00 PM and you're out here ripping it and I really love that for you. Yeah. Um, we, um, Megan and I went on a trip to Miami, like I think last year, and we stayed at, which is now one of my favorite hotels of all time. Yeah, the standard. Oh. On Miami Beach. So, and we went from like, we had her birthday and we did like party vibes at the beginning, and then we did spa the standard at the end, and we stayed, oh my God, through like a Monday. The spa was insane. First of all. We like, sorry. It was the best vibe. We were like, first of all, is this a fuck hotel? Everyone is hot here but, but all this to say that it was like Monday afternoon, non-holiday. Monday we go outside, like in the spa and then outside of the pool completely packed. There's no reason for this many people to just be like, working on their fitness or sunning. I know. Or in the spa, like mm-hmm. It's, it's incredible the attention too. Like people care so much about physique. They really do. I think people just genuinely like love their lives here. I have to tell you, when I was in New York, I kind of didn't realize like how depressed I was until I moved here. Mm-hmm. And it just, seeing the sunshine, looking out at the water, getting into my car, being in silence, not hearing what's going on outside, music lasting. I think that your mindset just shifts when you move to a place like this and it gets a really bad reputation for being a party town, you know? Mm-hmm. It's a great obviously destination for bachelor and bachelorettes. Yeah. Or vacations or whatever it may be. And that's not to say that when I first moved here, I was in a complete nut or degenerate, but you, you know, like you can turn it off and turn it back on as fast as you want. Yeah. And I think it's such a wonderful place to raise a family. Mm-hmm. Um. And, you know, there are like pockets of Miami that are suburban and calm. And then it's, it's nice that you can like, it's like get you a girl who can do both type of vibe. Yeah. Yeah. I think it is the best of LA and New York because it's like you have the best going out scene. You have so much culture, like nightlife and then you also have this amazing day life that's my outsider perspective is it feels like the best of those two work. Yeah. I think people are just happier. I think people come here for life. Like I know that, like you would never think like that, someone would ever say that, but I, I do think that people who grew up here have such a different mindset of, you know, like what it means to live. You can move slower, you can enjoy the little things. Like people remember to look up. Like I remember when I was living in New York, like I was, I was always thinking 25 steps ahead and like running to the next thing and like hustling and hustling and hustling and that was perfect for that time in my life. But I remember I would go home to Texas and my parents would say to me like, Lauren, you have to slow down like you have to unwind. Yeah. Even when I was sitting at the dinner table, how quickly I was talking, what I was talking about, you know, this, that and the other. And so when I moved to Miami and I saw how everyone operated, I had to completely rewire my brain to like get on island time. Yeah. And it was really frustrating at first, but I have such a respect for the culture and I think that and, and like, and the pace in which people move because I just think people are a lot happier here. So I think like the quintessential like type of like woman or person I get in general in Miami mm-hmm. Is someone who just like really like appreciates their life and like doesn't take it for granted. Yeah. I mean, I, this sounds so depressing, but I like when you say that like, the hours I work, the way I live my life in New York, like. People don't even have the time to think if they're happy in New York. Does that make sense? They're going so fast. For sure. You're just on the next thing moving. Right? Like rest is not rewarded. And so, um, that's a, that's a huge, like there's so many good things about New York, but it is, it's, it's a huge downside. Like you are moving so fast, there's not a moment to take a breath. Yeah. And I think like, at least just doing what I do, you know, rest is not rewarded in my, uh, in my field. But why it was so important for me to do what I do here is because I'm able to, just like, when I have my little moments, they're very tranquil. And so like, when I wake up in the morning, I go outside, I look at the water, I take a few deep breaths, like I really, I just find that I'm so much more grounded here. When you're living in the city or in LA or whatever it is. You know what I mean? You're, you're surrounded by so many people, so many external factors. Um, and you're never alone. You're never alone. And I, especially living in a neighborhood like Edgewater where I live, it's so quiet. It's so peaceful. You kind of touched on this a little bit with like having all the BBL girls in Brickle. Obviously there's like a stereotype of Miami being all of these just like Insta baddies. Yeah. You know, I think a lot like la Yeah. How has that like been with dating? Like do you feel like that look and like aesthetics has like played a role in dating in Miami at all? Um, not so much with like, who I'm attracted to. Mm-hmm. Like, I don't think really like the guys that I go for or the, or like the guys that like go for me are attracted to like that type of woman. Yeah. Um, but I do find that when it comes time for things like, like when I find that like it affects my life the most is when it's, um, like Art Basel or Formula One. Yeah. Or like, maybe Music Week where you'll be going out with your friends and it's like survival of the hottest and like getting right and like getting into like specific places and, and you know, so on and so forth. And it's not like a struggle, but like you do see like, the hierarchy of women. Yeah. Um, and how that plays out. And then like who's, you know, uh, section they're in or like, you know. Whatever. And it's like some like scary, like man with a belly like that looks like he's nine months pregnant. Horrifying. Yes. Yeah. You're like, you're like, okay. And these connections, like these connections happen almost exclusively, like via Instagram dm, I'm assuming a thousand percent. A thousand percent. And it's like, okay, cool. I'm in the hospitality industry. I'm here because like I, we know ownership. Yeah. And like you're here because you're with like daddy, but Yeah, no problem. Um, so I, I wouldn't say that it necessarily would affect like my dating life per se, but I do think, actually maybe I take that back a little bit because I do think that like the distraction of like the batty or the hot girl Yeah. Yeah. Is what does take some of these men away from being serious long-term potential partners. Mm-hmm. That's a good point. Yeah. Yeah. And so I think that, you know, because guys feel like they can still have their fun with like the hot little thing and no shade to these girls. Y'all look amazing. Yeah. Right. But, um. They're having fun too. So it's, you know, if everyone's just having fun, when are we gonna start getting more serious? I, I think Well, and that's a really good point. Yeah. Because I was just thinking, the guy is not getting serious in Miami because he actually sees those girls as geographically accessible. Does that make sense? He's like, he's in the back of his head. He's gonna tell himself like, actually this girl does live in my city. Whereas like, yeah, a banker in New York is not gonna see a girl posing in lingerie on his Instagram. Like, probably not. It's crazy. But like I have to tell you, um, something that I've run into so many times is that. My career and my drive is a huge turnoff for men in the city. Yeah, I've heard that in New York. I feel that way in LA too. Mm-hmm. In New York, it was like not a thing at all. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Like it wasn't even a question, I felt. Yeah. Not even comfortable talking about work. Like I, I wouldn't necessarily lead with it 'cause I try not to make it my whole personality, even though it kind of is sometimes. Um, but it was like always like a comfortable topic of conversation. Yeah. I found that. When I moved here, I would kind of have to like put that on the back burner and suppress that a little bit. So interesting. And make myself seem a little bit more feminine because I wasn't so driven or this, you know? And of course over time you realize like, that's not who you are. You, you shouldn't hide that part of you. And the right person is gonna love that. Right. And um, but it's, it's funny because they are used to like. This little thing who's willing, ready, and willing to be submissive, they'll build their life around you. I have, yeah. I went through a phase where I was like, I think I'm just gonna start saying that I'm a real estate agent or a nurse. All due respect to those professions, like the women and them, you're very like, serious. But I feel like those are jobs that men see as like, that's a women's job. Like that's a feminine job. Yeah. And I was like, I wanna do it as an experiment just to say and see how it goes. And then I kind of came to the same realization where it's like, no, I obviously wanna be with someone who's like, you're a lawyer. That's amazing. Right. That about you. But yeah, I I totally have had the same experience. Yeah. Okay. I just have found that to be a little difficult. Yeah. That, and that's, that's, yeah. 'cause I do think guys take it in stride in New York in a way that other cities, like, they just, they just don't. Mm-hmm. Yeah. But with that being said. Are you on the dating apps? Which ones are worth anything in Miami? So I think that they're all garbage. Um, let me just start by saying universal response. No, it's so true. I just am such a firm believer of like, what's meant for you. We'll never miss you. And for some reason I just, I'm not against the dating apps. I have a lot of friends who have like. Know, gotten married and been in successful relationships from them. I don't know if I really see that for myself, but I'm not, not on them. Right. I'm on Hinge and I've had it paused for a really, really long time because every time I unpause it, it's like American Horror Story. Oh. And it's, and, and actually it's interesting because I did a little, um, like research just to like a little r and d to see, is it my algorithm? Does Hinge think I'm ugly or is it my city? So I. Un paused my profile and I switched it to New York. Uhhuh and behold, everyone is attractive. And I'm like, wow. It's not me, Uhhuh, it's my city. So, um, hinge is trash here. Okay. I think also just 'cause a lot of people have the same sentiment as, as me of like, yeah. Some, someone in real life. Miami is a very social city. Mm-hmm. Um, so I would not recommend that. Um, I am on Raya. I call it the video game and for me it's strictly for entertainment purposes. Yeah. Yeah. I've gone out with a few guys from Raya, um, both here and in New York. Like, even when I was living here, like, like dated them when I was in New York. Um, it's like, just for, he, he hahas, so Yeah. Yeah. It it's pretty, it's pretty hard out here. Not gonna lie, but I, I do have a follow up to that is like we, something we've been starting to gauge and like talking to different people is like the friendliness of a city. So like where do you think Miami ranks up, like ranks in terms of people, men approaching women they don't know at bars? Oh my God. It's like nonstop. And I also just think that because everyone around you is so friendly and kind, that women also feel comfortable approaching men. Yeah, yeah. And other women. So like, I've made friends out, like we go to like some fun dive bars where we've like genuinely become friends with like everyone around us. And not only just that, but like being at a restaurant, like it's so easy. Like I have found. That like, maybe like two years into moving here, like I would just like start giving like women random compliments or like tell them like you love their dress and then you start talking and it comes from a good place. Like I don't, I have plenty of friends. I don't necessarily like, quote unquote need to make more, but yeah, you feel more social, you feel more comfortable, you feel more at ease. Um, also probably knowing that you're gonna see these people 25 more times in your life because the city is so small. But, um, yeah, I think a lot of people become friendly, like from workout classes and, you know, it kind of becomes your little like, that's amazing. Yeah. I love that. So people move here all the time and don't know anybody and it's really easy for them to make friend groups. And I also think, just like being in my Jewish community, there's a lot of like opportunities for people to meet each other, like through various like groups or, you know, networks or, um, I don't know, like networking events and so on and so forth. And so. It's, um, it's definitely a really, really friendly city and the guys here have no shame. They will come up to you at the fucking doctor's office. So, and I kind of love that. Yeah, no, I'm obsessed with that. I'm like, I have called somebody and then we went on a date. I'm not kidding. What did you say? That's incredible. Um, I, I very loudly said, well, I was, I was, I was a little intoxicated, I'm not gonna lie. We had been. Me and my friend Connie. It is actually a pretty great story. Me and my friend Connie, she's my partner in crime. We had been, um, like out at like our, one of our favorite lounges and we were, it was pretty late at night and we were sitting waiting for our Ubers and this guy like walk very tall, very handsome, like walks right past us. And I go to Connie and I'm like, he's so hot. And like obviously he heard and he walked over and he is like, what's up girls? And then we like start talking to him and he is like, where do you live? And I said, Edgewater, he is like, I just moved to the neighborhood, like, will you show me around? And then we ended up going on a date and wait. That's incredible. Yeah. But he's like literally 24. He is like, I just graduated and I moved to the neighborhood. Why? He's like, he's like, oh, like I'm a lawyer. I'm like, you're a lawyer or you're in law school. He's like, I'm in law school. I'm like, okay, baby, no problem. Yeah. So yeah, that was great, but, um, super handsome, super nice. Um, but yeah, it was just like a funny story to tell and yeah. That's so funny. Shout out to him. So, yeah. Love that. Okay, so everyone like, feels comfortable, confident, like nothing matters here. Like you're just living really. It's true. There's like no rules along the lines of people feeling very comfortable. What is like some insane date behavior that would not fly anywhere else. That would be totally normal in Miami. Ooh, okay. So I got set up with this guy. This probably goes down in like one of like the worst, not worst, but like the really like bad date category. I got set up with this guy who is 39. Okay. And we went on a blind date. Now my friend, like, had some like plan orchestrated now. She didn't really know him. It was like a friend of a cousin. So like, I can't like get mad at her, right? For any of that. Um, but she set me up with this guy. He's 39, full blind. I have no idea what he looks like. I thought you, I thought he was blind for a, literally, I thought, oh my God. I thought what you said full blind. I was like, you were going on a date with a blind defense. You're a dog. Anyways, please continue. Your jaw dropped. Saw my, there's also nothing wrong. I'm crying. There's nothing wrong going on, doing blind, queen, blind. But no, he had eyes that worked. Okay. So, so I had no idea what he looked like. He had no idea what I looked like, and I, I've never done that before. Okay. Yeah. That's wild. Like a blind date. Not knowing them is one thing, being like, I don't know what, what table they're going to be at is an author. Well, I let him pick me up because he was a friend of a friend, so I let him pick me up. Like he's, she's like, I met him, I promise, like he won't like kidnap you and put you in his trunk. I'm like, okay, cool. So I let him pick me up and we were going just down the street to dinner and, um, which by the way is a very Miami thing. Dinner dates are the only dates you go on. Okay. I'm like, well, when the dining is that good in Miami, it's like, why would you be anybody else? Right? Yeah. But when you're, when your first course drops and you're ready to like freaking, like, kill yourself at the table, like, you can't be like, oh, my drinks gone. It isn't worth it. Like you've got like 25 more Omae courses and you're like, how am I gonna make it through? And trust me, I've been there. So anyway, so this is like, this to me, I think is like something that only people in Miami can get away with. Not that they could ever get away with this, but it's like so classic. We show up to the date and he had fully texted his like entire friend group that he was there with me at 39. So his friends showed up. Yeah. Girls, if you're listening, not watching, both of their jaws are on the floor. On the floor. Wait, and did he pretend like, oh, funny to see you here, did you? Oh my God, Patrick, is that you? And I'm like, buddy, my God, let's be so for reason. No, that's actually crazy. How many friends showed up. Four. And I'm like, okay, this is insane. And I'm gonna tell you something. This is not the first time that like this has happened to me, to friends. I, I know some girls of mine who have like gone on dates with guys that have then like later like met their family. Like guys here just feel way too comfortable. Like through, they're like, everyone's invited to the date. Everyone's invited I and like that. Exactly. Yes. And it has happened so many times and like that shit would not fly anywhere else, I feel. No, that's crazy. Crazy. Yeah, it's really insane. Okay, so this might be like perfect follow-up question. What person do you think thrives? Like what kind of exterior mentality like do you have to thrive dating in Miami? And then what pers type of personality do you think absolutely should not dry it I think that people here just need to like, be a little patient. One thing that I have found is really interesting here is that it's impossible to actually get a guy to take you on the date. So he'll like text you for like four weeks. Yeah. Like, like half in, half out. Oh yeah. No, no. Oh, come to this party. It's like, wait, didn't we have like, wanting to do dinner plans? Or like, oh, like let's do something soon enough with this, do something soon. Bullshit. Like, you taken me out or not. Like, it's that serious. Yeah. So I have, I have said so many times over and over. It's not that hard. To take someone for a drink. Right? Like, it's just not that hard. Yeah. So I think that if you're coming in here, number one, like you definitely should be, um, more patient because the, it's like a lot more go with the flow. Mm-hmm. Um, and just like try to like keep a level head because shit like that, just at least for me, drives me crazy. Yeah. So that was a learning curve and not something that I love. Yeah. Yeah. People, people, like, they're not, they're not very, um, or men here are not very strict with their schedules, so mm-hmm. You're somebody like me who's on the more type A side or, you know. Or just like adheres to their calendar. It can be very, very challenging. Yeah. So like, they're not gonna plan anything. It's like if it just, if the, if the stars align that you guys, if the stars align, like if you catch them on a good day and the, the wind blew east 19 degrees and they tied their shoe right when they woke up in the morning, like you might just get a text being like, Hey. But other than that, like, it's hard. And that falls also into the, some of these guys aren't necessarily dating for marriage at this point, and, um, and they're just like having fun. And if the right thing comes along, or like if the taxi light is on at the right time, um, then they'll, then they'll go for it. So, yeah. It's hard. I feel like it's like, God forbid they make a plan with you and then there's like a really sick party that they wanna go to that night. Yeah. Like they wanna leave their options open in every way. Like in getting married later, like in having their weekends free, all of that. Like, it sounds horrible, but it feels like, it sounds like guys are 12 years old in Miami and the extent that they're just having so much fun living life that they forget about intentional dating. I have a real time example. Are you ready for this? Oh my god, real time. So this guy from Ryan messaged me after, like we had talked maybe like six, seven months ago and like. I never answered him. And he messaged me yesterday being like, hi, like, what are you up to this weekend? And I was like, oh, like, you know, I have this, this and this. And he's like, well, um, my, I'm like throwing a party tomorrow if you wanna come. I've never met this man in my life. Why are you inviting me to a party off of a dating app? No. I was like, that's crazy, but wait, it gets better. So I'm like, okay, like, just text me because I always just like need to see what's going on. Mm-hmm. Not for nothing. Like, I love like thickening the plot. I wanna get the invite to the party. You know what, I might go, I wanna, I wanna Zillow the address I, what's happening. So he texts me and he sends me the party full. I can't. And I'm like, oh wow. That's a full situation. I'll think about it. And I said to him, well, if not tomorrow, we can plan another time. And then he was like, okay, well I hope you can make it. So not even like, right. Not acknowledging the other time. Exactly. So this is literally like real time text. Yes. He was like, this is my planned social event for the next six months. Correct. So it's like you're either coming to the party, you're not like respectfully like, I don't wanna come to your house. Party me for the first time. Like that's not, and how many people have you sent this invitation to on Raya? Like you're gonna be entertaining six different girls. Right? Like, okay, what's like an episode of The Bachelor for you? No. Good. Right? Like no thank Also men shouldn't know how to use Party Full, in my opinion. Oh my God. Don't get me. Started. Started about Party Fall. That deserves its own episode. Girl. I love Party Fall, but it is a women's app. Thank you. All social media are women's app, social media. The best men. The best men should not have social media. Thank you. I've been saying lately to my girlfriends because some of these. Boys, I can't even call them men. Some of these boys in my dms need to take their fat thumbs and put 'em back in their pockets. It is disgusting. I am sad for them. No, they need to put them on a keyboard. Go to work. Go work. Oh my God. Go back to your job. Like respectfully. It's bad. Okay. Give us your holy grails for bars to meet guys like Sure. Maybe a boyfriend to meet like a hot guy on a night out and then like, girls night, we're not worried about men. Yeah. So I wish I could say that there are categories for those, but there aren't. Um, I think. It's really just this place is like, you never know what's gonna happen to you. Yeah. And I think it, and I think I feel that way about everywhere. Yeah. If you are open mm-hmm. To the possibility of meeting somebody then your options are endless. And that could literally be at the gas station, it could be at the grocery store, or it could be at like 11, the strip club. Like, you really never, ever know. Yeah. And so, I, I don't know that I love like the, you can go here to meet your boyfriend. Mm-hmm. Like, or you know, if you, if you act like a good girl, you can meet this person. Or like, if you want a crazy night out, whatever. So you never know. I think if you just keep like that like. Energy and like you talk to people and whatever. Like, it's great. There are definitely like places in Miami for like specific things that you're looking for. So if you want like a more chill night, I would say it's super fun to like go to Brothers Keeper or Op or Maji. Um, like those are more like low key spots. Okay. If you want to like, pick up a notch. There's a couple really cool places that opened recently. Um, one I think is called Lions Den and the other one is Mary Lou's. Mila Lounge is super fun. Like it's a really good, like, vetted group. Harbor Club, Soho House is always like a good time. Mm-hmm. Um, so like, those are like fun places for like dancing music and like everyone around you is attractive. And then if you wanna just like. Absolutely go feral. That's when you like go to the clear, but yeah. Yeah. And what are your favorite parts? It's still like reserved for like time and place, you know? Yeah. Um, but I think like even I used to, I mean, I still do, like, I love going to a restaurant and sitting at the bar mm-hmm. And you and like talking to the people next to you, making friends with the bartender. Like we have places that we go weekly and like chat it up with anyone and everyone and you just never really know what's gonna happen to you. Yeah. Like I, I always say that like vacation me is the best version of me and I try and lock in of like, why is vacation me so fun? Mm-hmm. It's because you'll talk to anyone who will listen. Anyone. Yep. Yeah. So like I was just on vacation with one of my best friends and like, we ended up in the funniest situations and like meeting the greatest people and like ending up here and going there and like, it's all because you're just open to the possibilities. Yeah. And I think that if we could like bring that mentality state side, people would be like a lot more successful in their endeavor. Yeah. So. Yeah, that's my, yeah. Wait. And when you, when you do go to the club, if like, what's, what is your go-to club? Oh, God. Um, well, I don't, I don't know if there's like a go-to club. It's kind of just wherever the wind blows me in that, in. See, I love that this like, this is like such a Miami mindset too, by the way. It's funny because like, I would never like actually like, choose to go to the club. It's kinda like the club choose you. Right. And that is just going in that direction. Yeah. That's really, uh, that's really what happened. Yeah. Yeah. I'm, I'm not really a club girl myself, but I've never felt more alive than when I had to go to space. I mean, I love Dan at. For my birthday, I made Spencer go to Club Space at five 30. And oh, space is the best. I haven't been forever, and it was literally the best day of my life. It was the best day of our lives. Yeah. Well, you know what, I take that back. I have been there recently. I was there the week between Christmas and New Year's. I call winter break, which is really funny because um, I have a full-time job, but it's, and it's also like never really winter in Miami. That's a lawless land. And I went to brunch with two of my girlfriends and then they were like, wait, like we kind of, we like had an app all spritz and we're like, we kind of just like wanna dance a little. So we went to space at 5:00 PM like pretty sober and just like danced a little for a couple of hours. The sun went down, I left, it was 8:00 PM I was sitting on my couch like, absolutely chilling. Wait, that's incredible. No, I like, I want my ashes scattered there. I think it's, I hit my step count for the day. And on that note, what are some very Miami things you think for somebody who's looking to meet people, maybe friends or like romantic partners? I think anything active and anything outdoors. So like people go to the beach and they just talk to anyone who's around them. They'll play beach volleyball. Like there's like a whole like community of people who do that. The run clubs, the walk clubs like are massive, massive, like hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people are doing these things and it's incredible. And then, yeah, we genuine generally are anti run club, but I'm like, I think that's like, I think that changes. No, it's in Miami, it's actually cool. It's like John Summits there consider to be like normal. I mean, it's something I would ever do because like I don't love to run, I prefer other ways of exercise, but um, that's our fundamental issue with it. Exactly. Yeah. But like, I, I mean even like my, like I do boxing and like everyone in my classes I'm like boys with, so it's, mm-hmm. I think. You know, it's, you kind of just make your community by doing like lifestyle activities is really how people socialize. Yeah. Which is like what you don't have in New York, to be honest. Totally. But there's also like a lot of private members clubs here, and some of them are definitely better than others, but I think that that's also a really great way to like meet people and socialize. So like, so House Harbor Clubs, zz, like fighting a membership. Like there's a lot, like a lot of like different calibers of like things that you can do, um, and memberships that you can join to, to meet people. Yeah. Um, but also, you know, a lot of people live in buildings here, so like big buildings. So you meet people in the elevator or if you have a dog. People meet at the park all the time. Like that's a really great way to like meet people and socialize. So, um, yeah, that's, it's, it's really just like, it's an outdoor city. So yeah. A lot of people outside okay. These can be like as specific as you want. What is a green flag in Miami Maybe that we wouldn't think of. And what's your number one red flag. Oh wow. Okay. I think a green flag is anyone with a legitimate. Career. That is a no. It's it, but that, you have to understand that is the basis of like the core of what sets the tone of your life. So if you're somebody who's career driven, it means that you have to adhere to, to a schedule, right? You have, uh, strict enough life that keeps you on track. Um, you have goals, you know, like you're self-supportive. Like I think that anyone like who really operates in that capacity already, you stand out from the crypto boys or the trust funders or whatever it may be. And like, I think a, the career gives a lot of people your a purpose. Yeah. Um, and a red flag. I think a red flag is people who get caught up in the scene. Mm-hmm. So. Like, I like to pop in and pop out of the scene when it's convenient for me. So that might be once a month, that might be twice a month. That might be every other month. The people who are on the scene, no matter what, every single time you see them on the stories, they're at the same places. They're all around this. That is a huge red flag for me. Yeah. Yeah. Like if they're too visible. Exactly. Like I, it's, I like never wanna be the person where like, they're like, oh my God, she's here again. Yeah. You know, like, it, I, it visibility. I think that's a really great way to put, it's so, if you're always at the function, something's wrong. Go home, make a home a meal. Oh, home. Take a sip of water, touch grass. Like, all right. Pinnacle question. What is your wildest Miami dating story? Whoa. Oh my, my God. Honestly, there have been so many hysterical ones. I even texted you guys. Oh. Like there was this dude who um, told me he could see dead people. We went to speaker on our date. Actually. I got set up with him. That was interesting. Um, how did that come up? Oh, so my friend was, yeah, how does that, my friend was like real drunk at a bar and met this guy and she was like, oh my god, Lauren, he's cute Jewish, and he's moving to Miami like, you must meet him. Mm-hmm. So we were texting, he seemed normal. We sit down, he opens his mouth and I'm like, oh my God. Yeah. You're like, how drunk were you when you met this guy? What is happening? What is happening? He told me, this is insane. Actually, this is quintessential Miami. He opened his mouth and he, he had moved to Brickell. He was going out for a week straight every single day alone because he didn't have friends. So he goes, he's going out every single night by himself, getting drunk, doing who knows what, ending up who knows what. Yeah. On his final night of the week, he goes out, he wakes up, his Rolex was gone. And his pockets were empty. He had, I guess, taken home a girl who was I'm sure very attractive and stole everything from him. How do you mean you classic? Oh, Miami shit. God. And so like two days later when I went out with him, he was like, so hungover and like probably still drunk and like missing everything except for his Apple pay. And then, and so he leads with all of that Uhhuh and I'm like, wow, you're perfect. Um, and then we keep talking and then he tells me that he's clairvoyant and can see dead people. And I'm like, I, I texted my friend Sam and I was like, I'm never letting you set me up with someone ever again. And did he have, he completely lost privileges. My, did my, my Did he say at the end, did he have to say at the end of the dinner, the waiter? Can you bring the, the double tap thing? Yeah. Literally. What about your best one? Do you have a best like, oh this is like such a Miami date? Um, I don't know if it's more like no good ones. It's more like you end up going to like a bunch of places and like, you know how New York Okay. For example, like how you can barhop where you can go from like place to place to place to place, right? You need like a little more complicated. So you would end up like, at this person's like private party on like this island and like, then you like end up at like this club and you're like, wait, am I with these people right now? Like, it, it, the, the crowd here and like the scene here is just really, really funny. So one night it was, it was Christmas Eve and all the Jews get together on Christmas 'cause like, what else are you gonna do? Yeah. And I was like, I like met this guy. And we were like, vibing. And he whispers in my ear and goes, do you wanna go see Rufuss to Soul dj? And I'm like, what do you mean? Like, I don't understand. Like, and also if someone tells you that you're like, fuck off, like, yeah, please. Yeah. Like, you're bullshit Uhhuh. So he's like, just come with me. And I'm like, okay. So we pull up to like a, a private home on like one of the, there's like a bunch of islands that connect Miami to Miami Beach and it's like dead silent outside. And then we like walk up stairs to like the little like cita of like the home we walk in and it's like one of the guys from Rufuss DJing, there's like 30 people in the room, and I'm like, oh my God. That was like the most quintessential Miami. That's insane. Yeah. That's incredible that, that takes the cake. Yeah. But it wasn't like a formal day. It was more just like, you have to be open to these possibilities. Yeah. A little flirting gets you a long way. Exactly. And like if, if someone asks that. Yeah. Yes. Like take advantage of the opportunities. Totally. I love that. There's a lot of that, so, yeah. Yeah. It's funny, it's funny, um, we always joke that like, at the end of every episode, I like want to move to the city, but like, I really do wanna move to Miami. Yes. So, If a girl was moving to Miami like tomorrow, what is your biggest piece of dating advice? Of dating advice? Yeah. Ooh. Um, I think just like really stay true to yourself and don't get caught up in all of the scene that Miami has to offer. Yeah. I think that it's really easy to fall into the trap of, you know, who's around you, who's hotter than you, who's cooler than you, who's more connected than you? Who has a better job than you? Um, who exercises more than you? Mm-hmm. Who has more money than you, whatever that may be. But the only person at the end of the day that you have is yourself. And I think that there's a lid to every pot, and it's sometimes hard to see that when you're surrounded by so many options and distractions. And even if you know you're a certain age or you're young or you're old or whatever, by your own standards, whatever that means, like I really do believe that there's a person for everyone and to just. Do your best to like, stay true to who you are when you move to a place like this, because it can feel very superficial at times. Yeah. And I think that the truer you stay to yourself, the better friends you're gonna make and the better relationships you're gonna get into. And I have found that for myself to be true. So that's my word advice. Beautiful. That's amazing. Yeah. Okay. So then our last question for every podcast is, and I know you're, you're sprinkling around back in the New York pool, but you're still, you know, open heart, open mind Yeah. Say that you continue to date Miami. Yep. Are you optimistic about the date of the union in Miami? Um, I have to be because I think that when you start to get negative about a situation all fails, it totally changes everything. Yeah. It, it changes your trajectory no matter what. And so that's not to say that I go through motions where I'm frustrated or, um, you know, feel like it's not here for me. Mm-hmm. You just never know. It could be a visitor, it could be someone who's lived here, her their whole life. Yes. It could be someone who's been right in front of my face this whole time and I had no idea. Um, so I would love and to believe that my person is here and you know, I do feel confident that like that person is in my orbit in the near future. I like do really feel that for myself. Um, so yeah, I would like to say I'm hopeful. I love, I'm optimistic. I love that. Yeah. Yeah. Yay. It is so sorry. Wait. Thank you. So much and now you have to keep us posted please in our group chat about every single crazy dating story you go on. You, bye.
